Context: A large insurance defence law firm was seeing financial losses due to claims and docket management challenges and did not feel the solutions in the market were adequately meeting their needs. Within the firm, manual processes, data technology, and the absence of reporting tools led to inefficiencies, making it difficult to operate and monitor the business and meaningfully track the revenue and cash flows. To address this, the firm’s leadership saw an opportunity, and started to develop an AI solution that could automate pre-bill review, reduce revenue leakage, and improve operational efficiency.
